Britain once again wants to attract
international scholars to study masters program at its prestigious
universities. Recently the UKBA has introduced a pilot visa program for foreign
students who wish to apply for the master's program in selected universities and
this new visa program would allow them to stay for six months after their
courses have finished in the UK.
Earlier this month, the UKBA to
introduce a two-year pilot program is limited to students in master's programs
at the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, the University of Bath,
and Imperial College London.
This will create an access to a streamline for a
simplified visa through their respective universities and the possibilities
given for six months in the UK remain after graduation, explore further study
or find work, try to start-up or travel.
The scheme will cover visa applications
decided on or after July 25 this year will be decided and is open to students
in their studies of 2016-17 and 2017-18.
The pilot project should run for two
years, when it would have been done in a permanent way or modified depending on
its success.
The elimination of the post-study work in 2012
was widely recognized as one of the major off factors to be drawn on
International student to other destinations
such as the US and Australia .
This is to be believed that this would
attract once again international scholar to the UK .
