German Study Permit Guideline.

Germany is a place to be, with regard to the quality 
of higher education, research infrastructure,
 teaching methods, education affordable and 
professional perspective. Therefore, many international
still believe that Germany is best for their country 
universities to pursue further study. 

The home to about 300 institutions with more than
15,000 different  programs of study. If you are not
 an EU national; 



you would require a visa from  the german immigration  authority in order to come to study in Germany.
 
 
Visa categories:
 There are 3 different types of visa available to study in Germany for Academic study or 
Language preparation courses for the academic program.
 
 Type 1 Student Applicant’s Visa: The duration of this visa is 3 months, which is valid 
if you do not receive admission to universities. Once approved, it must be converted into 
a residence permit as quickly as possible from the foreign office for study purpose.
 
Type 2: Student Visa : The duration of this visa is 1 year . To obtain this visa , 
you must provide proof of admission and financial aid for the entire duration of the study.
 
Type 3: Language Course visa : This can be converted into a student visa . 
It is only valid for the duration of the course.
 
For student visa, the following documents are required:
1. Type 1: For Student Applicant Visa 
a. Application forms with originals and 2 sets of photocopies.
b. Valid passport
c. 2 recent copies of passport size photographs
d. Proof of entitlement to get admission at a University in Germany.
e. All Certificates with Marks Sheets and Admit cards
f. If the course is taught in German, the proof that  already have a good knowledge 
of the German  language
 
g. If the program is taught in English, proof that already have a good knowledge of English
 
h. Proof of sufficient funds for the first year (approx .. € 7600) and a financial plan for the 
entire study period.

Type 2: For student visa
to. All documents listed in the type 1 along with 
b. A letter of acceptance from a university or institution of higher education in Germany
 
 3. Type 3: Language Course Visa
a. A valid passport and 2 passport photographs
b. 2 application forms with originals and 2 sets of photocopies
c. Proof that you have registered for an intensive language course with a minimum 
of 20 hours per week (e.g certificate of registration, receipt for course fees)

d. Proof that you will be covered by health insurance for the duration of your stay 
in Germany.
 
Note : You are advised not to  solely depend on this article ; it’s a guideline provided by the German government .
However, you must check with the immigration authority before you  apply.
